Siapa yang Membutuhkan Lulusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris?
Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (PBI) termasuk
salah satu jurusan di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP).
Jika di perguruan tinggi Islam, jurusan ini biasanya ada di fakultas
Tarbiyah. Jurusan PBI bertujuan untuk mencetak guru Bahasa Inggris yang
memiliki kompetensi mendidik atau mengajarkan Bahasa Inggris secara
professional baik pada tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD), Sekolah Menengah
Pertama (SMP) maupun Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA).
Lulusan PBI umumnya dibutuhkan dunia
pendidikan yaitu menjadi guru SD, SMP, SMA atau yang sederajat. Apakah
bisa selain menjadi guru? Ya jelas bisa. Ini bergantung dari kemauan
orangnya.
